Strawberry Sticks - Chenopodium seeds

Grow something a bit different with your little gardener.  Chenopodium is an unusual plant, with edible leaves and fruit.  The leaves have a flavour which resembles spinach (indeed another common name for this plant is 'strawberry spinach') and is delicious added to summer salads.  The attractive red fruits resemble raspberries or little strawberries but do not taste like them.  Interestingly, the fruits can be cooked gently and the juice is used as a natural red food colouring.
